Based near Cambridge this is a great opportunity for an experienced Accounts Administrator to join a leading technology and manufacturing company.

As the Financial Accounting Administrator you will provide support to an enthusiastic and busy Finance Team, in processing accounting information and managing the accounting system, specifically the cash, sales and employee expenses ledgers.

With excellent time management and organisation skills, you will be used to operating under pressure and to tight deadlines in a dynamic, fluid and changing environment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Processing the cashbooks and bank accounts
• Cash Reporting and Forecasting
• Twice monthly payment runs
• Processing and payment of employee expenses
• Ordering and processing of foreign currency
• Raising sales invoices and credit control.
• Month End journals and completion of Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
• Processing VAT Returns, Intrastat and EC Sales
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register and control of fixed assets.
• Reconciliation of Intercompany Accounts
• Petty Cash – sterling and other currencies

Ideal Skills:
• The candidate will ideally have at least 3 years work experience in a finance dept and may be working towards the AAT qualification.
• Experience in processing cash ledgers and reconciling bank statements
• Experience in processing BACS payment runs and online banking
• Experience in managing sales ledger
• Experience in managing petty cash
• Competent in double entry bookkeeping.
• Competent MS office user, specifically excel
• Sound knowledge of VAT, ideally experienced in completing returns

Our client has a vacancy for a Quality and Business Systems Improvement Manager to join a team in Hertfordshire.

They are looking for someone trained to Black Belt level ideally with a degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or other similar level discipline. It also appears that someone from an automotive/manufacturing industry background may be suitable.

The main purpose of this role is to develop, deliver and sustain new business improvement systems, processes, methods and tools to enhance business performance and customer value.

You will be responsible for leading the delivery of key business improvement programs . Current programs include new product development and introduction; integrated problem solving; regional quality systems and iCat information management / collaboration environment. You will be involved in all aspects, from the initial program scoping through to launch across multiple sites; sustaining improvements over time; transferring learning and managing the change and adoption across the business.

An intrinsic part of these programs will be to build capability across the business in these new methods through the design and delivery of training and coaching programs. You will also have the opportunity to apply the structured improvement methods through leading teams to deliver high impact improvement and critical problem solving projects.
 

Successful candidates should have a technical degree (or equivalent); be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and have a proven track record of successfully driving performance and change. The role requires a strong customer focus together with excellent program management skills and a flexible, multi-tasking approach to ensure that customer and business priorities are met in a timely fashion. With a strong team focus you will have the ability to communicate with people throughout the business, manage change and enjoy working as part of a team as well as working independently when required.

Summary:

Provide recovery audit services to clients of unparalleled quality
Perform recovery audits on clients supplier accounts &:Identify: Using the Audit Tools and methodologies, review accounts   and identify potential recoveries
Validate: Using the information sources available to you, validate the recoveries identified to ensure that they have adequate supporting evidence and recovery integrity

Recover: Using the revenue recognition policy and client policies and procedures, obtain written agreement from the clients supplier and process the payment of the monies outstanding to provide financial benefit to the client

Audits with limited supervision
Understands and manipulates client electronic data
Performs quality control for less experienced auditors
Maintain quality standards within the audit environment
At times to undertake responsibility of training and developing staff auditors within the audit, assisting with recruitment, performance management, on-job training, staff development, and staff appraisals.
